It’s not just about the students, it’s also so that the hard working school custodians can clear the sidewalks and steps to keep your children safe!

I’ll say this once more because it doesn’t seem to get through.. Monday, when everyone complained about the delay being unnecessary, my kiddos bus slid on ice and hit a stop sign. That call made my heart stop! Everyone was ok but they had to wait for a new bus to transfer kids to and were then late to school and had to all be checked by the nurse. It could’ve been worse! And that was more mild weather than today. The roads up here in the mountain (where a lot of the district is) are always worse than in town and the borough. So unless you’ve driven every road in the district and know how a bus would handle as well, keep your opinions to yourself. It’s not your decision and they aren’t going to change their decision because you cried on Facebook.

This one actually makes sense. The roads were a mess at 4:30 am. We shouldn’t have unnecessary school delays though, like on Monday. This time off is really adding up for the students.
